British Born Irish resident James Kenny graduated in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College London in the early nineties and after many years of travel journeyed to Ireland to study animation at Ballyfermot Senior Collage, Dublin.
He has subsequently worked extensively in the game, film and television industries, most notably a lead concept artist on the Tomb Raider computer games, but his most enduring passion is painting. Inspired by artist such as Gauguin, Klimt, Dumas, Doig and the Wicklow landscape in which he lives, his work seeks to combine a sense of place and memory with a vivid, abstract use of colour and form .His work is held in private collections both in Britain and Ireland.
