Gaston Verdicchio
"Life for me started in Buenos Aires Argentina. I grew up in a lively Italian family with all its passions and aromas. I started taking art lessons with a Spanish artist at the age of eleven.
I studied architecture at the University of Buenos Aires encouraged by my parents to follow a more traditional carrier. Meanwhile I continued taking lessons with Monica Soler Vicens, a disciple of the well known Argentinean artist Emilio Petorutti.
In 2002 I moved to Ireland and kept the love for painting. I live in Swords, Co. Dublin and recently I was invited to an Art Exhibition at Antrim, Northern Ireland, where more than 50 artists took part in the event.
My work is basically oil on canvas using sometimes also timber board".
